This 1973 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III roadster that was delivered new to Boffo Motors in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020. It is finished in red with a black soft top over a black leather interior, and power is from a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a removable hardtop, a top boot, chrome-finished wire wheels, air conditioning, and an Alpine cassette stereo. Recent work is said to have included an oil change, cleaning and adjusting the carburetors, draining the fuel tank, and replacing the battery. This Series III E-Type is now offered by the selling dealer in New York with manufacturer’s literature, original purchase documents, and a clean Indiana title.

The car was refinished in red under previous ownership, and it is fitted with a black soft top. A convertible top cover and a removable hardtop are included in the sale. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, a louvered hood, a luggage rack, and quad central exhaust outlets.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and wear 185/70 BFGoodrich Comp T/A 70V tires that require replacement according to the selling dealer. Additional required work is said to include replacing the ball joints, suspension bushings, and steering rack boots. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. A knock-off tool and a lead hammer are included in the sale.

The cabin features seats upholstered in black leather with matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, three-point seat belts, an Alpine cassette stereo, and a center console. The air conditioning does not work.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dash along with an analog clock. The tachometer does not work. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 23k miles.

The 5.3-liter V12 features single overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank along with four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Work performed in preparation for the sale is said to have included an oil change, cleaning and adjusting the carburetors, draining the fuel tank, and installing a replacement battery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

Manufacturer’s literature and original purchase documents are included in the sale.

1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 roadster finished in Jaguar Signal Red with a Black soft top over a Black leather interior.

This is truly one of the nicest unmolested time warp E-type's we have had the pleasure to offer for sale. The originality is remarkable and E-types vary rarely come along in such good original unrestored condition.

The car was wax oiled when new. this was usually offered by the dealer back when they where new. whilst it looks messy and does attract dust and dirt, the oily wax does a fantastic job of preserving the paint and components that is covers We have left it there as some collectors would like to preserve it as is, however should the new owner wish to have it removed and fully detailed, we would be happy to discuss this option.

The interior is absolutely remarkable and factory fresh. Even the footwell carpets are pristine. The floors are also in exceptional shape too. The seat and all other trim are unrestored and in excellent shape.

The car has has an exterior paint job at some point but fortunately they did not paint inside the trunk, the door jams or the underside of the bonnet.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dash along with an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 23k miles.

Cars of the vintage very very rarely come along in such great shape, and therefore this particular car represents a unique opportunity to acquire a piece of Jaguar history.

West Coast E-type are a leading E-type specialist and therefore can undertake any level of work that may be desired by the new owner.
