The example offered here is undoubtedly one of the finest Series I E-Type Roadsters has ever had the pleasure of offering. It represents the pinnacle work by the Jaguar specialist firm, Classic Showcase of Southern California. Absolutely no expense was spared in the correct and proper restoration of this original matching numbers E-Type Roadster. Perfection as the primary goal is evident in the craftsmanship, fit and finish and ultimately the lustrous black paintwork of this superb example. Every single component has been rebuilt or replaced on this show ready Jaguar and it is a simply breathtaking car in every respect.

The 3.8 liter engine was rebuilt to factory specifications with new pistons, bearings, valves, guides, seals and timing chain. The head was completely rebuilt, as were the carburetors and clutch assembly. The car was fitted with all new brake parts, the drive shaft was balanced, the shocks and fuel pump were replaced and the gas tank was restored and epoxy sealed. All electrical components including gauges, knobs, and switches were rebuilt or replaced. The top bows and seat frames were powder coated for durability and effect. The potent and capable 3.8 liter inline six-cylinder engine, the transmission and the rear end were all completely rebuilt to better then new standards.

The body was stripped to bare metal, repainted, then color sanded and buffed. All rubber was replaced, as were all grommets and gaskets. All the trim and brightwork has been replaced or replated to the highest level and the car was fitted with a beautiful new tan interior, with carpet, panels, dash, and seats all being fully redone from scratch. The restoration was systematic and comprehensive with much time spent on detail and quality. This is one of the finest examples for sale in the world today, and is being sold with a custom made DVD movie documenting the restoration process. Additionally, a limited warranty accompanies this car, which is a testament to the restorer’s confidence, and assurance that is truly one of the finest examples in the world.
