In 1987 this car was stated to be undergoing restoration. Rust repair was among the jobs being carried out by its owner of the previous six Years. It reportedly, had 53.000 miles. and was located in Florida. In 1994 it was stated to have the wide windshield trim and the three-piece L-post trim, double trunk-lid hinges, the white plastic transmission cover, door chrome trim with recess along the bottom, and a non-finned sump.

I visited Tom and he showed me 875090 at his home, over a few beers. I have to agree with Mike's commemts - and I have just looked over the photographs I took of the car - the car was substantially complete, original body, original engine and gearbox and all stampings were correct for an early car. What do I know - well I own 875039 for a start. Ian Howe

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
