This 1973 Jaguar E-Type roadster was purchased new by the seller at Twin Cities Auto in Saint Paul, Minnesota and shows just over 32k miles. Power is from a numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 paired with an automatic transmission, and the car wears an older repaint in its original silver over a black leather interior. Service in the last two years included installation of a new fuel pump, radiator core, spark plugs, and ignition wires. This E-Type is offered with a factory hard top and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.
The cabin trim is said to remain original and includes black leather upholstery with matching carpets, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a stock radio. The car is equipped with factory air conditioning, though the seller notes he has not used it recently.
The 5.3-liter V12 is fed by four Stromberg sidedraft carburetors and mated to a Borg Warner 3-speed automatic transmission. The seller has completed maintenance himself throughout the car’s life, with the oil changed regularly in the spring and fall. A new fuel pump was installed two years ago as well as a replacement radiator core and fresh spark plugs and wires. The seller describes the carburetors as in need of adjustment.
Engine block stamping #7S9878LB is shown above and matches the number listed on the data tag pictured in the gallery below, which also shows brass ID tags for each carburetor. A stainless steel exhaust system was installed approximately 25 years ago.
