1973 JAGUAR E TYPE V12 5.3 - 5300cc ESTIMATE £57000 - £62000

ESTIMATE £57000 - £62000

Chassis number UD1S22069 - presented in Regency Red with Cinnamon upholstery the car was dispatched to the USA of March 6th 1973 with a build date of February 13th 1973. The car arrived in the UK during March 2015 with a restoration remit to return, the vehicle to its original as new condition. The vendor states that the vehicle was completely disassembled and body shell and panels stripped by hand. Where necessary panels & front end structural members were replaced. Considerable work went into, ensuring the gaps and body profiles were as per a new vehicle. The photos in the file show the high standard of work carried out. Originality has been maintained with very few exceptions (e.g. smaller uk bumper overriders were used instead of large, US rubber option). In some cases upgraded materials (e.g. stainless steel exhaust and wheel spokes.) have been used. The following list of new equipment is not exhaustive but gives an indication of how no expense was spared in restoring the E Type, to its as new condition. Wire Spoke Wheels (Stainless Steel Spokes with Chrome Outer Rim and Spinners). Manifold and Exhaust (Stainless steel). Heater Box, Brake Assemblies & Servo, Prop Shaft, Rear Differential, Shock Absorbers, Wheel hubs and, Bearings, most suspension parts, Clutch Backplate, Clutch Master Cylinder, Gearbox Seals. Petrol Tank & associated piping. Radiator & Electric Fans. Convertible Roof, Window Regulators, 3 point Seat Belt harnesses, All Chrome trim including Bumpers, and Door Handles. All internal seat leather & carpets (original Seat frames retained). Total Cost of the 2016 Restoration was £60,000 (not including purchase cost of vehicle). Since 2016 the vehicles has been lovingly cared for and garaged in a, humidity controlled environment. Having covered only 1800 miles during this period. The cars meticulous record of works undertaken is presented in great detail in a hard back album which also documents some of the cars original service records and, proof of original (matching) numbers. There is also a substantial quantity of associated restoration invoices included within the history folder. The cars owner has meticulously presented the car having spent and entire day emsure even the wire, wheels are presented to the highest of standards (with a tooth brush)

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
