Advertised for sale on Carsales.com.au November 2019 asking AU$295,000. Advertiser’s description (paraphrased) follows: “This two owner, Australian delivered, Jaguar E-Type was dispatched to British Leyland of Australia on the 25th of August 1970. Purchased by its second owner in March 1979, it remained in Canberra where it was later stored for some years.  In 2016 the car was sent to Gavin King of Concours Sportscar Restorations in NSW.  The car was absolutely rust-free, so no major body restoration was required!  A full bare metal repaint and a complete engine bay restoration was performed.  The E-Type received an engine and suspension re-build with performance upgrades.  Also completely rebuilt: brakes, driveline, rubbers, hoses, belts, ignition system, Lucas wiring loom, cooling system and restored chrome work.  The car retains its original factory-fitted and unrestored interior, including factory made Jaguar seat covers, tool roll, jack, owners manual and service booklet. It's not often one finds an Australian delivered E-Type on the market.  Moreover, in absolutely faultless original concours condition”.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
