cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $1,575, no reserve, 3 bids, 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar, E TYPE, Project Car. This is a Two plus two with a hatch-back door that swings from right to lleft. The tie rod is missing. As you can see in the pics this car is in peices. Most of the parts are available but not installed. The engine is not installed but is available and included in price. Hood or bonnet is available but not installed also included in package. Must be trailered. Left tire no good. Replacement tire cost about $80. I reiterate, this car is a project car and needs comrplete refurbishment.

1968 E-type Jaguar 2+2 , For parts, Hot Rod, Rat Rod , Restore.

Solid southern car that has a good PA title. No engine or transmission. Was 4 speed. A/C. Body has a small rust hole in the drivers floor pan and some rust starting on door bottoms, otherwise very solid. Rockers, battery box area, trunk floor are very good. I bought this car with the idea of removing the roof and making a 4 seat roadster. I saw a conversion like this and it was very cool! I had to have one! Reality has set in and I'm never going to get it done. I believe this early car is the one to use for a 4 seat roadster conversion as later cars have a different cowl/skuttle such that the stock XKE roadster windshield glass and hardware would not fit. This car would also be a great candidate to hot rod (Posie did one recently - it was featured in Hot Rod Magazine). Ford V8's will bolt in without cutting, so it would not be sacrilege and face it, Ford did own Jaguar for a while. If you want to restore this car, nothing has been cut or butchered. A gentleman recently called and offered a complete original engine and trans for 1000 dollars; a trans and bell housing just sold on e-bay for 305 dollars. So plenty of original parts out there.

What is included: what you see is what you get (almost). The bonnet (rough, but with a new under pan and some dolly work it will be good.) The front and rear suspensions are complete. All brake calipers and rotors are there along with the sway bars, driveshaft, shocks, drive axles, springs, reaction plate, A/C pump, radiator, A/C compressor, hood and lots of little bits and pieces. All the glass is there, including a non-tinted replacement for the rear hatch. The windshield is cracked.

What you don't get: an engine, transmission, rear seat bottom, dash gages and switches and lots of little bits and pieces. When purchased, the steering column from the firewall u-joint inward was already missing but the u-joint and shaft going out to the rack and the steering rack itself are there so the car can be easily moved/steered via the tire kicking technique. One photo of the dash area shows a steering column in place. This column was just a temporary (makeshift) one from an early car that I put in to help navigate the car into a tight storage space. (Like I stated, this makeshift column installation was only temporary - it really doesn't fit this car, so I'm keeping it for future use) The same photo shows gages and switches in the dash. They have since been removed (no wire cutting). REPEAT: THE GAGES, SWITCHES AND STEERING COLUMN ARE NOT INCLUDED!

This car is being sold for parts only! It is in terrible condition and needs a complete restoration! It does not run and can't be driven!

The car will go to the highest bidder-no reserve- A 25% deposit within 2 days of the auction end is required. If I do not receive a deposit I will promptly do the second chance option.

Don't miss this chance to own a Series 1 E-type jaguar, one of the most beautiful cars ever built!!! You will not find another E-Type this good this cheap!!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
