Current bid $1,725, no reserve, 10 bids 5 days left in auction. 91k miles.

Sellers description:
This 1968 Jaguar XKE was just about done being restored. It had new willow green paint, a new interior, and so forth. The mechanic was working on some of the last odds and ends. He was draining the fuel tank with the car parked fairly close to a gas water heater. When the water heater ignited, the car caught fire. As you can see, the soft parts of the interior are ruined. However, everything from the firewall forward is fine. Some of the paint bubbled. The fireman broke out all the windows. The car comes with what you see. The engine runs fine but the carbs are off for rebuilding. The transmission shifts fine. The bumpers had all been rechromed. The fronts are fine. The rears got hot but are straight. I have the spare wheel, the jack, and some misc. trim to go with it. The car rolls and steers fine for trailering. It could be restored again but I just don't have the heart for it.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
