Car offered at:
www.sdjag.com/Classifieds/HawleyHolmes/HawleyHolmes%20Classified%20Page.html

Sellers description:
The vehicle for sale is a 1968 Jaguar E-Type Coupe that has been owned by the same owner for over 20 years. The car's paint is it's original "Ascot Fawn" beige exterior with the interior in it's original "Cinnamon"color. The paint job has held up beautifully. The interior, with it's still soft and supple leather, shows almost no wear at all. This Jaguar is a 70,000 mile, matching numbers car! It still retains it's original California black and gold license plates! This is a unrestored survivor vehicle in remarkable condition that has to be seen in person to believe. All mechanics are in good order with the brakes just having been gone through and the vehicle given a tune up. This 6 cylinder, 4.2 liter engine car is a joy to drive. This rare coupe also has the 4 speed and wire wheel options that are very desirable. I have been in the Jaguar Club for 30 years and this is the nicest original coupe I have seen in the last 10 years. I am a Jaguar Club of North America Judge and I can say that this well preserved classic would do very well in a concours event in the preservation class of judging. This car is priced far below book value as well as it's appraised value and it's certain to only appreciate more and more.

Car to be at auction 6/16
russoandsteele.com/vehicle-details/

Auction description:
NEWPORT BEACH 2016 CONSIGNMENTS
1968 Jaguar XKE Coupe "Survivor"
Consignment # 6053
Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale June 10th - 12th, 2016 at Russo and Steele's 4th Annual Newport Beach, California Auction.

This 1968 'Series 1.5' Jaguar XKE Coupe is from the last model year for the "small tail light" design, which makes the car very different than a 1969 'Series 2' in value. Most body parts retain original paint and close inspection strongly suggests no front- or rear-end accidents. The Consignor has the original dealer-issued metal warranty plate from the car's original sale in San Diego on 8/20/1968. The seats are restored in highly correct leather and the rest of the interior appears original.

Sold by Gallery Aaldering of Brummen in December 2021. Seller's description below.

www.gallery-aaldering.com/jaguar-e-type-4-2-series-1-5-coupe-1968/

This 1968 Jaguar E Type 4.2 Coupe Series 1.5 is in perfect original condition. It was supplied new to La Mesa in California in 1968. An original black plate Californian E Type Series 1.5 with just 77,824 miles on the clock, it is a true survivor! This car has never required any remedial attention and therefore is in superbly original condition. The lovely bodywork is straight with correctly fitting body panels. It is finished with Ascot Fawn with a Cinnamon leather interior trim. The good quality of its paintwork has withstood the effects of time and exudes a fine patina with soft and supple leather. A Jaguar Club of North America judge praised this car as one of the most beautifully and well preserved E Types he had seen in years. Jaguar Heritage has certified the original, matching numbers, 4.2 engine. This car is certainly one for enthusiasts and the Jag lovers' collection considering its rare original condition. We seldom come across an authentic and untouched E Type in such fine condition. Remember this, its only original once!
