I own my uncle's original 1968 coupe with 13,950 original miles. 4 speed British Racing Green, air conditioning that works as does everything else. Runs fabulously.

This 1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 roadster was acquired by the seller in 1995, reportedly from its original owner. The car is finished in silver grey over black leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top and boot cover, chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button radio. This XKE roadster is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, tools, spare parts, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.
Series 1.5 XKEs featured exposed headlights shared with Series II cars but retained Series I equipment such as a small front grille opening, turn signals mounted above the front bumper, and taillights situated above the split rear bumper. This example is finished in silver grey and features a black soft top and boot cover, split chrome bumpers, a louvered hood, a left-side mirror, and polished central twin exhaust outlets. Photos of blemishes around the body are visible.
Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P400 Touring tires, and a spare is stored in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The seller states that the brake calipers and hoses were replaced in 2017. A set of earless knock-offs is included in the sale.
The cabin houses low-back bucket seats upholstered in black leather accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include manual-crank windows, a height-adjustable rear-view mirror, a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button radio, an analog clock, and lap belts. The radio was repaired in 2020.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges in the center stack. The seller notes that the tachometer needle sticks unless the gauge is tapped. The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles, approximately 4,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and has been fitted with a Hot Spark electronic ignition system and a Holley electric fuel pump. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller reports that the exhaust system was replaced in 2017. Corrosion is present on the underside components.
Manufacturer’s literature, Jaguar apparel, a set of earless knock-offs, spare parts, tools, and a jack will accompany the car.
