This maroon and black 1968 Jaguar XKE roadster has been owned by one family and was gifted to its first caretaker upon his graduation from West Point Military Academy. It was restored around 2012 and has been driven approximately 500 miles since its completion. This XKE is powered by a 4.2-liter DOHC inline-6 engine with triple SU carburetors, mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. It has recently been serviced by Jaguar professionals with work that included all suspension bushings, new shocks and brakes, new brake bottles, new electronic ignition, new hoses and clamps, tuneup and carburetor work. It features upgrades such as headers, aluminum radiator with dual fans, new exhaust system, new alternator, upgraded digital stereo, new seatbelts, new washer bottle, 15” steering wheel, covered headlights and chrome wire wheels. The recently done interior shows well.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
