Coventry Racers

Check out our newest site, still in its infancy, but also pretty cool: Coventry Racers, a site dedicated to the C-Type, D-Type, XKSS and Lightweight E-Type factory race cars from Jaguar.

  2. Roger, Truly excellent site, I for one am very interested in the lightweights and all the Jaguar factory prepared racing cars. What about 860458 the 1962 Le Mans car driven by Maurice Charles and John Coundley not technically a factory lightweight but still a very important car?

  3. Thanks, David!

Richard, I’m limiting Coventry Racers to the factory prepared cars, but some of the features will bleed over to the other sites–any car with period racing history will be able to show a table of race results (I’m still working on this!) and will have the ability to add a potted history of the car.

What I need to do is come up with a “special searches” page where people visiting the XK, E or Saloon sites can pull up cars which were largely used as competition machines in period. As with all things on these sites, it will probably take awhile.

Great addition to the already exclent sites. One suggestion, if you have the lightweigth E’s you should also add the lightweight XK120′s that were
produced just prior to the C Types being ready?
    Cheers
    John

  5. Roger, how come only C and D Types are showing on the slide show?

  6. Richard, I saw that you had posted a bunch of lightweight shots, thanks! So that the lightweights were “shared” between the XKE site and the Coventry site, I added a sharing field and I bet that the coventry slide show isn’t looking in there. I’ll take a peek a bit later this evening.
